The op is crying in thier milk because they need two enchantments.
And he needs to do some lvl before that.
Well the upside of Fiery soultrap is that it is 1 enchantment.
I already do that, on my sneaky thief type. I don't mind stealing. But for my melee Orc and my Altmer spell caster, it get's annoying. Sure eventually you can paralyze them before you cast soul trap on them.
But you wouldn't like the game if you didn't have to waste an attack on a short range/short term spell that does no damage but puts you into combat, and the fact that you have to do that makes the game more fun for you? :)
The game is still fun and I played all the others and they were fun too, it doesn't RUIN the game :)
But I've discovered you should ask for what you want :) Gaming companies will always give the people what they ask for, because then the people will give them money.
And the soul trap/soul gem thing is only one of the very many things I would like changed for a future Elder Scrolls :)
Maybe if a lot of people ask for we'll get it. MAYBE. I won't be holding my breath though :)
Yes the hype is very high, but so was the hype as high with Andromeda. Bioware almost bankrupted after that fiasco. So hype is not enough. Gaming evolves and even triple AAA title can fail miserably if it does not answer the current trend in gaming.
That is why I believe that next Skyrim to be great game Bethesda needs to allocate 100% resources into it and develop it fast within a 1 or 2 years.
For the spell caster, I'd say Soul Tear (the shout). It does 300 damage in addition to casting soul trap. If the shout kills the enemy, it reanimates them for a minute too. Powerful attack, reanimation up to level 100, and soul trap, all in one powerful package.
Seriously. Soul Tear definitely competes with Unrelenting Force for my affection.
