Cheat terminal-esque mod.
Looking for a mod similar to the cheat terminal holotape in fallout 4. Something that I can use in game instead of alt-tabbing to an actual cheat engine to change something.

(In b4 "why dont you play the game the way it was meant to be played?!?!")

Why not use console commands?

I'm guessing he's on a console? No reason to even have a Cheat Terminal mod for PC, unless you set it up so it's restricted enough so users can't do stupid stuff, like spawning a thousand cheese wheels in Breezehome, or destroy quests.

Nah, just remembering all the console commands is a bit of a pain, especially when youre already forgetful. Just looking for something easier and simple to use. Just thought id try my luck.

Open the Creation Kit, load Update.esm, find any non-Spell or non-Skill Book and edit it. Put your most preferred console commands in it (i.e. add gold/lockpicks, setstage on quests, etc) and rename the book to something you'll remember, then drop that book into an interior cell you can get to easily. I have one that has a ton of info that I placed in Helgen Keep so I get it at the start of the game. It's got locations of Word Walls, and what Words they have, as well as how to fix stuck quests (Serana and the bowl), and various other console commands I have to use almost every playthrough.
As a matter of fact, I need to edit it again so it has all the Thane quests in it (bypass the "Help My People" crap).

When you load up the game before you hit continue go to Mods. Search "Cheat Room", without the quotes. if it's still there it has everything plus as added bonus has complete smithing area, enchantment & alchemy tables plus a bed. so it's like a portable home also.

Edit: I wouldn't download much more than that (if you grab it) to be safe because you're obviously not using a mod manager to dl it.

Console commands are based on developer tools and are meant to fix small bugs, not be used as a cheat engine. Reckless use of console commands will break a game.

Not familiar with the holotape, a smart person would have explained what it did so people who don't play fallout could help.

Its essentially as it sounds. Allows you to unlock and activate map markers, enable/ disable untouchable settings, set god modes and infinite carry weight, spawn custom companions, caps, unlock perks, so on and so forth, too much to list. used it all the time. its pretty much exactly like a book.
