Valerica "BEYOND DEATH" quest follow bug

[Lady Titania]

So I have read, in more than one place, that a lot of people are getting this bug. This bug happens after you return from killing the keepers and go back to Valerica. The next step is to follow Valerica but after speaking with her, she does not move. I had tried the resetAI console command and of course that didn't work. I tried walking through the door to see if she would follow and that also did not work. I tried walking into her to push her and that also didn't trigger her to move. Then I had an idea, "what if i move her to me once I walk through the doors?" and I tried that. BOOM BABY, it worked!

Basically if you come across this bug, follow these steps:

1.) Walk through the door.
2.) Open console by pressing (~) button.
3.) Type: prid 02003b8e
4.) Press enter
5.) Type: moveto player
6.) Press enter
7.) Press (~) to close console.

Valerica should then appear in front of you and she will start walking to where she needs to go.
Quest Continues as normal.

I've never had this issue. Do you have any mods that affect her in any way besides her appearance? Any Soul Cairn mods? One of them may have deleted or disabled a trigger.

Nope, I have none that interfere with her at all. Some quest bug out, I've encountered lots of different bugs even when I didn't play with mods.

When all else fails; load previous save (preferably one before entering the soul cairn)

Also are you running the unofficial patch?

I have got most of the bugs you can have in Skyrim, but that one NO.
One thing all must learn. If you have one NPC that is supposed to go before you.
FFS dont use the DOOR before the NPC. WAIT until the npc have gone throu it.

And as @Chaotic Harmony says. LOAD OLD save. And use the patch.

The bug is on different forums and needed a solution. I found a solution and decided to share.

I am way past this quest and do not need advice on how to move past it. Thank you.

I'm very happy you've never encountered this specific bug. That means this post is not useful to you.

I have the patch and all my mods run together perfectly. As I've stated before, I'm way past this point and don't need advice on how to go forward, but thank you.

Ok @Lady good that you manage to get thou the bug.

The problem is that you may have more issues in your game than that bug that you solved whit console commands.
You do know that those are the last resort. I am pretty sure that DONT go before is to prefere.

If YOU do not like console commands, are AGAINST using console commands or don't know how to use them, then DO NOT USE THEM.

If it helps someone, great. If it's not needed, even better. The OPTIONAL solution I found, is posted.

Problem is most console commands CREATE other problems, so people who know stuff keep telling people that they are probably just swapping out one bug for another.

Your solution looks pretty innocuous, and may be a good solution, it's near impossible to say, which is why people say the best solution is to load an older save. Sorry if you feel this is targeted at you, it isn't, just people with bad experiences of what console commands can do.

Move.to should be plenty stable.

Have that problem too in a couple of play troughs I use console commands too that said I'm fully aware that it can cause trouble. I think it is something mod related however can't figure out what exactly

I have had this bug a couple times as well. I also used console to get her through the door, and she continued without flaw after that.
