Hunting in Skyrim mod.......
Loving this mod...so much depth...it's a cracker. It's really brought Skyrim back to life for me.

I am at challenge rank 8....kill two ice trolls with a bow, wearing Hunter's Armour. I cannot find where to craft this special armour. I have looked at the forge and the tanning rack but cannot find it. I can make Northern Hunting clothes (armour value 0) which I wear generally, so I assume it's me not being able to find stuff rather than a problem or bug.

If any of you guys use this mod then please help....I'm so into this mod that I'd hate to stop now.

Thanks for your time.

I won't be of much help sorry, the only thing I can suggest is reading the description on the mod page, and the comments to see if anyone else has ran into this problem before. What mod is it might I ask?

The mod is called 'Hunting in Skyrim'.

It comes with a website rather than a readme. The website is down. I've found a way round the problem but it means using the consule commands to find the armour group codes, etc.

I found it on Nexus, on the mod forum....
consule command help "Hunting Guild" 4 enter.

This gives a list of the codes for Hunting Guild Armour......shame to have to cheat them into existence if I can find a proper way to craft them. Just thought somebody here might know.

Major Slack is currently doing a Legendary Survival run where he limits himself to only the meat he can kill.

That has been quite a challenge since he can't fast travel he's had to plan his trips such that he can accomplish his goals and refill his meat supply without falling prey to hunger, cold, disease etc. There has been once or twice where he had to eat raw meat and risk a disease because he was unable to make it to a cooking station in time.

For sure, it's great to play as something other than a D&D hero.

I've got Hunterborn (with scrimshaw crafting), Hunting in Skyrim, Frostfall and Camping plus Alternative Life Start. I only use what I get from kills. My character has crafted all his possesions, with regards to clothing, weapons, potions, etc......he's got loads of survival kit in his backpack. The more you play, the better you get at skinning expensive pelts, foraging to make foods like Reachman Soup, crafting new and hunting specific weapons, jewellry, talismans, clothing, etc.

I never buy food or any stuff to use for crafting. I'm totally loving it even though I've very nearly died from the cold....many times. I now have a little network of campsites, all self crafted with skinning racks, fuel and kindling, food stash, etc. My character never collects booty from dungeons or even goes in them. He rarely uses money or even has a need for it. He carries only stuff for his lifestyle.

He's got so good at surviving he has at least ten different types of tinder to make a fire; anywhere, at anytime, in nearly all weathers. After making a fire he can survive. Next, he can knock up a tanning rack with wood he finds or chops. Next he crafts a tent with sleeping bag. After he's made a meal and slept, he then uses this place a regular base to hunt from. So far he has four places set up like this

Sorry to blather on but, as you can tell......I'm loving it, man.
