stuck in ravenrock mine at the big door

ive watched a bunch of vids on this... im using power swings with the blade..um blood sword but as ive seen on the vids the sword shoots out a red beam im not getting not 1 red beam... is this a glitch? can anyone help?

Havent played in a good long time but you need to do power swings in the same "direction" as the lit up symbols on the door. So if it's horizontal you do a power slash while also moving left or right. For the vertical lines you just do a standing power slash.

Assuming I remember correctly. There was always a beam from the sword provided, along with the stamina necessary to power slash at all.

^This is right^

The diagonal ones were always the worst for me, get the power attack right and I missed the bit I was supposed to be aiming for.

You aren't getting a beam?

How are you doing power attacks? because if you are doing them corectly then something is wrong, and the only way out then is to reload an old save.

yea no beams.. i tried reload bunch of different save points.. started over like 20 times.. nothing worked no friggn red beams

so i did the console walk through the door thing went in kicked the bosses butt n got the shout.. and ive been playing with the same blade out in skyrim in many places power attackn all sorts of foes and still no red beams...
