Changing sides on the Civil War?
Hello,

So i'm aware of that you can give the Jagged Crown to the other side of the war and then you will fight with them for the rest of the quest line, but i'm just wondering: Can you still change sides after the Jagged Crown mission has been completed?

I dont really have a reason to change sides but i just thought if there was some way with perhaps console commands? Of course there is the chance that my game would totally break on me, but i'm currently having crashes and other issues so it woudnt be a much of an difference (210 mods active lol)

So i'm currently playing as an stormcloak and wish to change to the Empire, im currently on the quest "Message to Whiterun" which is the next mission after the Jagged Crown one.

Thanks in advance.

No, not without finishing destroying your save and not even having the intended result.

Also, even with 255+ mods there is ZERO reason for your game to be unstable if you take the time to do it properly.

Alright thanks for your reply :)

And i know how to properly manage my mods but tbh i'm too "lazy" to really dig into them, its mostly crashes every x amount of time and some textures missing but i'm not that concerned right now. (and yes i know i'm making this sounds way harder than it really is lol) Luckily i did something a while ago that fixed the more serious issues i had so i'm all good now :) Thanks tho.

Too lazy to fix the problem but not too lazy to complain about it? You should run for Congress.

CS may be a general arse, but his observation is spot on this time; you "care" enough to whine about having an unstable game but when its pointed out that your game doesn't have to be unstable come back with "I know how to fix it, I'm just too lazy." (A statement that I believe to be a lie.)

Hm yes i do understand his point and i often comment on peoples laziness myself, but im more like "if if somewhat works its fine" kinda guy so of course if the game doesnt start at all, then i would start looking into it but at the moment i dont have a big enough reason to start looking into the game. (if that makes sense)

I understand what you're saying, but I can not bring myself to even remotely agree with it since I want my game to run as smoothly as possible.

@fauxpas I thought that you would appreciate that one. :steamhappy:

We all have lines we draw, but the moment someone mentions crashes it's more than I'd be willing to tolerate. ... But then again I did a clean install and started from scratch once because while fixing the "dark face bug" I managed to destroy Kadian's face and completely nuked the Sophia mod because it refused to play nice.

Hells, I'm currently trying to track down why the opening scene between Whiterun's blacksmith and Battleborn refuses to play when I enter the city gates but will if I cheat myself into the inn and walk down the other direction. ... So different standards I suppose.

Oh, I have a high amount of respect for Chaos. Without Chaos there is no creativity, no growth and no joie de vivre. Too much Order leads us to rigid thinking, stagnation, despotism and no Wasabi and Chicken Wing Ice Cream.
