Can't buy Proudspire manor. (Solved)
I have completed killing Potema and done a few other favors for the Jarl etc. Got the shield and all. But the dialog allowing me to buy the house never appears. Anyone know what I may be missing? I don't remember any other requirements from previous plays.

Do all the Wolf queen stuff, help 5 people in the hold, drop the Yarl's father's horn at a Talos shrine. Once you have done all of that you should be able to buy the manor from the same npc, Falk Firebeard, that gave you the first wolf queen quest. :cozyskyrimvr:
An easy task to miss is the one where she has you drop her fathers horn at the shrine.

To purchase the home, you must first complete the two quests The Man Who Cried Wolf and Elisif's Tribute.

Just in case LairosTail's info wasn't enough.

indeed the tribute quest is not given by his steward, but by Elisif herself.

The tribute is the one you're probably missing. I had the same issue recently until I remembered I hadn't done that quest for her. Soon as I did, I could buy the house.

Thanks guys. I haven’t dropped off the horn yet. I thought the Wolf Queen was all you had to do.

Cool

I'm curous, being a house buyer have you purchased the Windhelm house? That is one wicked house, and I mean wicked, cool interior but oh what you find there, it giving me shivers just thinking about it.

Sorry my answer wasn't as clear as it could have been. Had to type that in a hurry.
