There is also at least one mod for making masks invisible. Search Nexus for more info.
Start here ^, if you're not familiar with CK.
Open the mod in question, with CK. Find the Daedric Reaper Armor, in the object window, and double click it. When the form opens, look along the left side, near the top, for the enchantment drop down box. Make it "none". If there's an enchantment strength noted below it, delete it. ALso, look in the keywords (lower right side box) to make sure there's not a keyword disabling enchanting. If there is, delete that as well. Close, save, good to go.

Here are a couple examples. I had to juggle steam to post these, so I'm not sure which one you will see first, but one of them is the form for the Diadem of the Savant, which shows you the keyword to disallow enchanting for magic items. The other is a piece of Daedric armor, with an enchantment applied. You can remove enchantment with that same drop down box.
I used vanilla Skyrim/Update as masters. Whatever mod gives you the Daedric Reaper armor, that's the one you're going to want to open in CK, and find the armor you want to change.
like ♥♥♥♥ if someone wants $5 to just do this stupid ♥♥♥♥, I'd venmo your ass. This is why I hate fussing with this nitty gritty programming nonsense. ♥♥♥♥ isn't simple, easy, or straightforward.
In the Skyrim SE folder, where your .exe files are, to start the game, there should also be a CreationKit.ini. What you want to do is use wordpad to make a new document. Add this line
bAllowMultipleMasterLoads=1
and save it as CreationKitCustom.ini (Make sure you type out .ini, or it will save as a text document by default, and won't work)
That will tell your CK to load however many masters, and the Custom part will prevent it from disappearing or being overwritten in any updates. Hope it helps.
would be nice if editing literally 1 line was a little more user friendly.
If you have any future dealings with CK, shrink that error box down really small and hide it down toward the bottom of the screen. Leave just enough that you can grab and lift it up if you need to see something, but otherwise just ignore it.
