Alduin wont land after hit with Dragonrend

I researched this and found very few people experiencing this, most people have a bug where he wont show up during the cut scene where you are in the past with the ancient nords but I dont experience that problem, its once the cutscene ends and I have to fight Alduin, I use dragonrend, I hit him, I know I do since he has that glow around him, but he just wont land on the ground, he continusly flies around, I suspect a mod issue, ive gone through and disabled numerous mods that wont break my saves but no luck, Ive gone back to my farthest save (At least one that isnt TOO far back) and I continue having this issue, has anyone else experienced this and perhaps have an idea of what mod is conflicting? Ill post a list from LOOT if that helps.

I get this issue if I hit him with dragonrend before Paarthurnax says to.

Ive tried waiting after and I still have the issue

I'm having the exact same issue.
He just continues to fly around. On occasion I can hit him with a lightning spell and do some damage, but he still will not respond. He won't even attack me.
Just flies in a circle in and around the mountain top.
At this point I'm willing to use a cheat, anything to just get past this annoying frustration.

Go stand close bit in a corner, give him space to land. Use dragonrend.

It ain't a MOD causing this. Has been around since day one. Searched for an answer, could not find anything. Just hope that i won't get it. It's choice depended, a early script failure. Did you try any earlier saves, made in a cell outside the cell off the quest Alduin's bane.

The save I have is just before talking to Paarthurnax, before reading the Elder Scroll.
I can't imagine the script being broken before that as in reading the scroll puts you in a scripted sequence, then puts you back in control to fight the dragon.

For now, I have decided to bypass that particular quest for another as I'm getting nowhere.
Hopefully when I do go back to it, it will work out.
