Serana Glitch After Kindred Judgement

After the Kindred Judgement quest, I kill Harkon, I speak to Isran, and after that I cannot speak to Serana. I click on E and there is no dialogue option for her she just says, "now this is done." over and over again. If I leave the room she just stays in it.

tried using the console command to complete the quest, that didn't fix her issue either. Tried killing her and then leaving the room, also didn't fix. Anybody have a solution?

Reload a save from before that scene (before the quest is even better) and try again.


Also if you aren't using the Unofficial Patch, you need to be.

Thanks Fauxpas, I do have the unofficial patch loaded. I went back to before the screen didn't work so am going to the save right before I got the bow and restart Kindred Judgment. Fingers crossed :-)

First post (Fauxpas's) is the answer, even if you don't like it.
Quite often the only solution is to load an earlier save, nothing else will fix some glitches.

Yea I went back, still didn't fix it, so I used the console command to have her go and cure herself. She never came back. Started a new game am just getting back to the dawngard will let ya know if I run into the same problem.

sorry to bump an old thread.just in case someone needs a possible solution i just traveled out of the castle down to the boat and walked all the way back and it fixed the issue

Thanks so much for this solution. It worked. Serana became unstuck and now I can get on with the game.

maybe necroposting but in my case i figured why it happened. I sprinted past Vingalmo before he announced return of Serana. He kept silent and Serana didn't said "i guess im expected". Reloaded save, waited patiently, she said the line and proceeded as usual. I have patch installed though...
