SKSE 2.0.8 says I have an old Skyrim version
I have updated SKSE and when I start SE, then I get this message:
"You are using Skyrim version 1.5.39, which is out of date and incompatible with this version of SKSE64. Update to the latest version."

How can I check which Skyrim version I have, unfortunately it doesn't show the version somewhere.
And how can I trigger an Update manually?

I'm having the same problem. I might be because when the game updated before, the old SKSE64 didn't work so people downloaded the previous version in order for it to work. But I guess now that SKSE64 is updated, old se doesn't work now :/ since I forgot to back-up my updated launcher, can someone link us the latest launcher?

http://skse.silverlock.org/download/archive/ Download earlier version and try
If you launch skyrim through steam it should update automatically.
Close it down, and launch through SKSE normally afterwards.
See if that gets everything upto date.

I tried this and it actually worked. I thought verifying a game only restored your save files

Also be sure that you are using the correct script extender with the correct game.
Skyrim Legendary Edition uses SKSE.
Skyrim Special Edition uses SKSE64.
