Reverting to a Previous Update
I have several mods that run off of SKSE64, but due to an update that I couldn't cancel, the game itself has updated beyond what SKSE64 is designed for. Is there any way to revert it to an earlier save? Everything that I can find about it, mentions a "Beta" tab under "Properties," but I don't have that option. Thank you in advance.

The solution is on the first page!

press win+R, paste: steam://nav/console

in steam console, paste: download_depot 489830 489833 1298692161422189837

the v1.5.39 exe will download to [...]steamapps/content/app_489830/depot_489833

put it back into the Skyrim SE folder and set to read only.

That will do until SKSE64 is updated

Say I wanted to revert and go back to the updated version of Skyrim SE (1.5.53) what depot should I download in order to do that?

Will this work with the original Skyrim (Not Skyrim Special Edition)?

The original Skyrim hasn't updated in years, why would you rollback to something even older?

is there a guide to rollback for the January 2020 update?? i cant find anything online and all these old guides dont provide the correct version of skyrim
