Can't pick up purified void salts in Volkihir Castle

(This is in old Skyrim, with Dawnstar added.) I found the ingredients that Serana needs for the compound to enter the Spirit Cairn, but am unable to pick it up. Has this been an issue with Special Edition, or has it been fixed? (I had Dawnguard back in 2013, and there was no problem then. However, Steam saw fit to remove all DLC when I upgraded from Win 7 to Win 10. By then I was off on a Civilization kick, so didn't notice until Steam's "Statute of Limitations" took effect.) I'd like to finish the quest, but am reluctant to use "console" commands. If it's been fixed, I'll switch back to SE.

Steam never removed DLCs, some people just had a bug where they "got" Dawnguard for free. If they reinstalled, verified game cache, etc they lost access to it though.

Load a previous and save and before entering the lab, save and see if u can pick the salt now .im sorry i had this issue before too and the only solution was this

Thank you--I'll give it a try, Blossom ninja. And thanks for the explanation, Zsrai. I always wondered why the DLC's just showed up one day. I thought that it was a belated perk for having pre-ordered the game (which came on a boxed disk) back in 2011. Oh, well. The 1-1/2 inch (4.5 cm.) thick Prima guide that accompanied it has been a Godsend over the years--except for the atrocious mapping system. It's sort of like giving a person a map of Europe with no roads shown, and telling you to start in Paris and go more-or-less northeast to get to Moscow.
