Bound Bow weight oddity?
So, I've run into a bit of minor weirdness. I might've just missed it before, but when I cast Bound Bow, the maximum amount of weight I can carry goes up by 10 - it goes back down once the spell wears off.

Is it suppose to do that?

I'm pretty sure it wasn't a few hours ago and Uesp doesn't list it as an effect. Nothing is listed under active effects either (except for just the standard bound bow). Obviously, it's not game breaking. It's just puzzling since I can't figure out what's going on.

It isn't supposed to do that.

I would say post your load order if you have mods, but it all sounds very minor truth be told.

This load order is an embarrassing mess (even with the LOOT order seal of approval) - I knew it was gonna do me in! ;)

I'd appreciate anyone looking at it just to solve the mystery, but yeah, it's really minor. So far things are crash free.

I've wanted to reinstall all my mods through MO2 or NMM anyway - I'm still on the character I had pre-skse64 install, so there are still mods floating around that were installed by the Bethesda mod manager. I'd rather make a clean start, without the free clutter from the creation club and inactive mods. I'll stick with this character until it gets completely unstable and then start on a blank slate, fresh install for the next one.

10 Tamriel Kilos(?) is nothing...as long as respawning Nirnroot doesn't glow with the strength of 200 suns I'm happy...now those were dark Xbox 360 days.

Just from doing some reading it seems like Survival Mode may be doing this. Try deactivating and see if it still happens. Something about conjuring one and getting 100 at .1 weight each.

Toasted you buttery genius!

Duh! For some reasons the Unofficial Skyrim Survival Patch was ticked on - I totally missed it. I must've accidentally miss-clicked in NMM or something for it to be running. That would explain why this just suddenly pop-up.

Anyway, back to a constant weight. Thanks guys!

You mean......the Unofficial Patch caused a bug????? HORROR OF HORRORS! What other evil lurks within its bowels?

keep in mind that the unofficial patch you avoid all the time is the one from arthmor. this here is just a different unofficial patch from someone else for something else.

@OP
keep in mind that the Unofficial Skyrim Survival patch was made to resolve conflicts between the survivial addon and USEEP

And the bug that bound arrows have weight too I think is kinda minor in comparison to have to mods fighting conflicts with each other.

Blasphemy! It’s was human error - The Patch is still pure and divine!

Yeah, I know. Usually that part of the patch isn't active and neither is survival mode (its disabled in the Bethesda ”manager”).

Obviously, deactivating big mods mid game is not best practice. I am kinda surprised this mod jigsaw is holding together as well as it is with no ctd or launch issues. I've had unmodded Morrowind saves give me more trouble.

This ”glitch” just totally took me by surprised, because I couldn't figure out where it was coming from.

Like I said, once this character completes her RPG journey or the save becomes totally unplayable, I’ll do a clean install of everything using a single manager.

Even though lore states that conjuring opens the doors to Oblivion, and it enters you as much as you enter it, so when you summon that ephemeral bow, it's logical that you would also lose a little in the way of mortal restraints such as carry weight. IIRC, the actual Daedric Bow is 12 units of weight? As bound weapons are Daedric, you're getting a bonus of about that much for the duration.

But then again it was also logical that Fortify Restoration potions should fortify Restoration effects without argument or limit.

It also follows logic that we don't care about your complaints regarding the Unofficial Patch.

And yet you shall suffer them, regardless.

Not sure that counts as logic... The game states bound weapons are weightless not negative weight, and the doors of oblivion being opened refers to daedric influences upon the mage, not breaking the laws of phsyics.
