Can't buy Honeyside!
I've helped about 6 citizens and done the skooma quests, the game tells me to go speak to Jarl Laila, then she tells me to buy the house from Anuriel, even the little quest arrow appears above her head. But the option doesn't appear. I've tried disabling and enabling her, and I've also tried recycleactor. Nothing is working. I know that it will not give you the option to buy if you have already visited Honeyside. I have not visited it, and I do not have the key. Help!

Are you visiting during the Jarls working hours?

Do you Have any Mods? If yes, post your load order.

I do not have any mods, I did not know that the Jarl had working hours.

Yes, I've found the Jarls have similar working hours to the shopkeepers, if you visit outside of these hours they lose dialogue options until you get back to working hours.

Someone will probably tell us I'm wrong, but this is what I found when I played.

From my experience playing, the shopkeepers open at around 8 - 9am. Just checked the time and it is 12:43pm, and she is in her throne.

You mean USSEP - Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch (USSEP) - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/266

USLEEP is for Oldrim.

8am and they have to have completed their animations/scripts to be in their "work area" for interaction with the Jarls and Housecarls. Sometimes you can fudge that a bit, as I've caught various Jarls in their throne room, but not having sat down yet, and they worked.

Just after mid-day... Odd should be in work hours.
Although I do know some NPCs have a lunch break written into their routines, but not Jarls as far as I know.

Only thing I can suggest is google buying Honeyside and see if the bugs section of a wiki has any tips to get it to work.

How does one even check the time in game? I want to get Honeyside because I'm in the thieves guild. I was out doing quests and had some message quickly pop up on my screen but as the messages fade away quickly and I'm busy doing something in game at the time all that caught my eye was Honeyside talk to the Steward. So when I finally made it back to Riften I did the whole Skooma quest and finished Cragslane Cavern. Went back to the Jarl, talked to them, got quest completion. But now how do I get the house? Talking to the Anuriel there is no option there to buy. I have no addons, just playing Vanilla SE. I read the Wiki to see what I need to do, check here for other Hearthstone discussions. Did the quest that I thought was all I needed to do. But still no house offered to me. I have enough gold on me. It is really frustrating.

Press T to wait, and it should how you the time in one in-game hour. Also, this thread is two years old.

Typically, when NPCs don't give you the dialogue options you expect of them, another quest is interfering.

Besides that, helping people of the hold is only a requirement to become a thane. In Riften, buying the house is another prerequisite to become thane too, and I'm pretty sure you have to buy it before the Yarl even asks you to help people. Thus I'm surprised you've mentioned helping people already.

I guess this thread is resurrected now, but If I can remember, I think I just used the command "setrelationshiprank 2" on the Jarl and then bought the house or something. Thank you for your continued help but I have since moved on to that save.
