Bound Bow is really good early on and once you take mystic binding is actually stronger than it's un smithed daedric counterpart along with being faster possible soul trap and banishing with other perks, not to mention free 100 arrows. IF you are NOT smithing Bound Bow is most definitely the best you can get. If you use smithing I say use either Auriel’s Bow or a Dragonbone Bow. I usually use a Bound bow until I get Auriel’s bow myself.

Use a Bound Bow if you feel like leveling Conjuration, use a regular one if you don't.

My favorite combo is 2 hand and bow. Follow Companions to get the Skyforge greatsword early, then Wuuthrad later.

For a bow, go underground a lot. Get the Supple Nord bow, then eventually the Supple Falmer bow.

depends on how much you want to loot
real bows are better but have weight
bound bows are best if you want to stuff every pocket you have full of loot
and 2h tends to be heavy so i tend to go bound
do know that until you get silent casting being a stealth archer wont be possible with a bound bow
later on it will be a great weapon against undead and for collecting souls tho
so make your choise dependent on whats important for you

What does this have to do with anything? I mean, yeah mods are always relevant but why this case specifically?

I mod, lightly. I never mod in weapons or armor. There are so many already. Without modding, I can kill and defend myself from any creature the game has to offer.
Real bow, soul trap enchantment, Stealth's sneak shot perk for bows....... Just carry a lot of black soul gems (plus regular soul gems for when you have to kill that bear that keeps attacking you).
