About the armor cap and gearing
Don't ask me why but I even mini-max this game at adapt and every other game I play. I like it.
I know that the armor cap is 567 and that you can hit it with light armor, so I went light armor. Heavy was too slow gameplay for me.

About when will I be able to reach the armor cap so easy that I can use ANY light armor in the game? I have seen people running around with 1st leather gear and hit armor cap.

I am asking here because a youtube comment on the video or any other forum is pretty much dead since skyrim is an old game, but I am playing it for the first time. level 26 currently

1. Pretty much. Smithing and Enchanting along with a spell or two.

2. If you're not getting hit then your armor rating doesn't matter. I usually play as a stealth bow user. 5 guys in the room? 3 are dead in as many seconds and a fourth is on the ground by they time the 5th guy gets to me. And 1v1 these guys aren't so tough.

do i need enchanting and smithing at 100 before i can start getting armor cap on any gear?
So since you want to min-max, all you need is to fill the trees in alchemy, enchanting, and blacksmithing. Of the perks you need essentially of course. And since you want to do light armor, just stick to the left smithing tree. You'll also need the light armor perks too. And before they lifted the level cap from 50, this was hard to do to an extent. As well as there being NO WAY to re fund your perks.

I personally find min/max play throughts to be boring and dull, but to each there own.

And you'll definatly need 100 in smithing to get the full tempering benefits, aswell as the 100 enchanting perk to put two enchantments on an item also. Also you'll need the 60 perk in the middle to temper your armor and weapons to be more powerful base line wise.

In the Xbox 360 version, I used fur bandit armor at the end game after enchanting gear to boost smithing and using alchemy to make Fortify Blacksmithing potions.
