Bethesda .Net mods safe?
I loved mods but I am the most clumsiest ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and am probably the reason of destroying my first owned computer . I love Skyrim and want to play with mods but I am super skeptical of the safety of downloading and using mods. My question really is how safe are these mods? Do I have to cross fingers and hope virus doesn't latch on to these things?

bethesda.net is safe, but so is Skyrim Special Edition Nexus, which has many more free mods.

as above seid, the nexus is waaaaaaaaaaay better and is safe
The biggest danger really is getting bugs as a result of two mods not working together properly, for one reason or another.

most of the mods say what they may bug out with. when you have over 100 mods thne you got to be sure you have them in the right load order and that they dont stuff up

reminds me a few days ago somone had 300-500 mods and was wondering why they had somes bugs helps that some of there mods they didnt need (had upgraded foller mods but not the followers for the mod, ect)

Perfectly safe to use Nexus, its the only one i use and i am still using Nexus Mod Mamager to handle all my downloads, remember to also use LOOT it wil help sort your load order and then run SSEdit to clean conflicting files, there are a couple of good Youtube sites that help explain this, i think Gophers is probably the best, he talks really clearly and at a pace its easy to follow, good luck, by the way how about telling us about the mods that destroyed your computer, what they were and what issues they caused.

Seriously though, yes, it is very safe. It is a pre-requisite for being on the developer's official site, after all. The mods might be stolen, in some rare cases, but they will never cause any problems on the user side of things.
...why wouldn't the mods on bethesda.net not be safe? Can argue that the mods on the nexus could 100% not be safe by that logic.

I only use Nexus and have never had problems, i wouldn't bother going on with this thread....methinks the OP has done a runner.

The problem with bethesda.net mods is how you get them, That in game mod menu has tons of issues, it freaks out and disables plugins without master files. If you download a bad mod and it crashes your game, You can't get back in to fix it. External managers do not have these problems, Hence why people recommend staying away from bethesda.net.

But if there was a mod you found only available on beth.net, You can always just download it and use your 3rd party manager to handle it.

You might even be able to download beth.net mods from a browser, Not sure. Or maybe you can sub to them and they download next time your in game.
