Sykrim SE: Level-up Bug
Ever since i downloaded some Add Ons from the Creatin Club, i cant level up. Did i really just pay money to get more bugs?
I downloaded the Survival Bundle, the Khajiit thing, the wizard tower, the mudcrab and the one where u get more spells

No; but you are guilty of downloading and installing things without bothering to read what they do. With "Survival Mode" on you can only level up after sleeping.

:o didn't saw that one coming
I have to admit a wizards tower and more spells sounds good, but only if you pair it up with a mod that makes spell damage scale.

Is the mud crab a merchant? like the one from oblivion.

Even without a scaling mod Arcane Blast (or whatever it is called) is nice because it deals both fire and lightning damage; I agree that the Wizard Tower looks nice, but I haven't dug into whether its just a home or if its more yet. (Hoping for the latter but expecting the former).

Sadly the mudcrab thing is just a pet and is really lackluster; although I seem to vaguely remember that it can hold a tiny bit of junk for you. ... I do however remember seeing a mod on Nexus that added a talking merchant mudcrab, but don't remember its name.

That spell sounds great, I would hope the tower is more too.

Shame about the mudcrab, I really don't get the pets in computer games thing, if it's there it should at least attack, maybe Pokemon had spoiled me there Lapras I choose you

spell damage should scale, i agree.

i also think there should be an unlockable ability to charge spells faster, or make them more powerful at the cost of more casting cost.

i know oblivion tried this, but it's really bad. especially finger of the mountain, the spell no one can ever cast :(

You can cast it with the right gear and leveling, Problem is you need to neglect health so much you are almost sure to die from the trap trying to aquire the spell. The only thing skyrim did better with magic was the dual casting imo.

Fingers of the mountain scales depending on what level you are when you learn it, meaning if you learn it early enough the damage you take is minor, and you learn it easily. Not worth casting at that level but easy to do so.

If you level up a bit before learning it, then you need gear that resists lightning, again very doable. But go too high a level, and the sell does less damage than otherspells of the same level (ie adept lightning spells do more damage than an adept finger of the mountain spell)

Generally if you go more than one level above apprentice the payoff isn't worth it, and that is the reason nobody casts finger of the mountain. Not because it scales, but because the regular spells scale better.
