Vampire Lord Prompt Stuck On-Screen [bug]

[Note: I do have mods, and so I'm following the pinned troubleshooting thread's rule and creating a new post. That said, all that my mods do are add new items to the game, and none of them have to do with quests or UI or the like. I highly doubt any of them are affecting this issue. The Xbox player was also playing with mods, however, and so it's worth noting.]

In the Vampire Lord tutorial where Harkon is teaching you how to navigate the Vampire Lord system after turning you, the tutorial dialogue "Press _ to switch between melee and magic modes" is frozen in-place, flashing on-screen. I tried quitting to the main menu and then reloading an earlier save but the bug carried over. I tried quitting the game and reloading the same earlier save, but the prompt was still flashing there.

On this earlier save, I went back to Harkon and accepted his offer. I figured maybe if I went back to that part in the tutorial and switched to melee mode later (since the bug started when I switched to melee mode before the prompt to do so popped up) then the prompt would go away. No dice. I qtd'd and I'm about to reload an even earlier save, in case I corrupted the previous early save by loading it too soon.

Even if this does happen to work, I would like the solution to be somewhere easier to access as the only other two people I can find that have mentioned this bug online didn't receive an answer that works for the online version. One didn't receive an answer at all, and the other received an answer specifically geared toward the Xbox 360 version, and that was to clear reserved space and reinstall the game.

I was hoping that there would be a mod to fix the bug, despite it not being listed in several known bug lists, or maybe a console command that clears that sort of on-screen prompt. If it stays after reloading, I'm going to try toggle menus (although I don't think it will help) to reset the GUI. I may also try clear screen blood on the off-chance that the prompt is covered under its effects, and refini. I will make a follow up post in-thread.

It worked, so I'm not going to push my luck and do anything else. I had a quicksave right outside the castle. Serana wouldn't accompany me inside until I drew my weapons and forced her out of leaning on the wall. The bug didn't appear again when I waited until the prompt showed up before switching modes.

Solution: Quit to desktop and load an earlier save, and don't assume the melee stance before the prompt.

See, this is why I have to figure out how to fix my games myself. It had nothing to do with my mods, as I stated in my post.

So why come to a forum ask for help if you have all answers in the first place?

and you dont need quest mods to ♥♥♥♥ over a quest, but why do I tell it here, you already knew that, right? therefore stating you dont have UI and quest mods

If you need help, then start a new thread, posting your load order. The symptoms may seem the same, but the cause may not be, and people will be responding to the original post - not yours - not to mention this thread is over 4 years old.

Solved it actually apparently my xbox remote wasnt reading in the game when i pressed sneak button when my remote disconnected i pressed sneak on the keyboard and the text disappeared 😅

If ur using xbox or ps5 remote use sneak on keyboard to make it disappear

Thank god Lmaooo, too bad i already reverted my save and lost the redwater mission progress but that def worked.
