Switching from UNP to CBBE - What do I need to do?
I installed the "CBBE" mod and the "Bodyslide and Outfit studio" mod's , and I am making sure the mods with UNP in their name won't cause problems.

There are 3 of UNP mods ( all disabled now )
UNP Female body renewal
UNP Vanilla outfits SE
UNP Body Fit Armors and Clothing

From what i have read so far, I think I need to run the Bodyslide Studio to rebuild the clothing to make sure clothing fits ok.

I'm new to modifying meshes, textures, and clothing, so I don't want to mess things up too badly on my first try.

I backed up my Skyrim SE game before I installed the CBBE mods, just in case.

Do the same thing for CBBE that you did for UNP. Uninstall all UNP mods and place them with CBBE mods. I strongly recommend you use Mod Organizer 2 as your Mod Manager since it stores your mods in separate files and keeps your data directory clean: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/6194

If you plan to use Mod Organizer 2, when using Bodyslide, go to settings and change the meshes directory to the mod folder where you stored the mod.

I'm interesting in trying MO2 , but ... I've spent hours, nay, days getting mods setup with NMM. I might have to wait until my next re-install of Skyrim, unless there is a migration tool to make the transition from NMM to MO2 easy to do.

Looks like your opening post was a while ago, but in case you've yet to resolve this, I'll provide an answer.

If you plan to use one of the CBBE presets (slim, curvy or vanilla), all you need is the CBBE mod. It contains the meshes for the body and every vanilla outfit. Your mod manager should do all the work for you. Just install, select the desired preset and you're done.

The provided outfit meshes are vanilla-like. If you wish, you can overwrite them with your choice of CBBE compatible outfit mod(s).

If you plan to use Bodyslide and use a downloaded or created custom body shape, you need to first install CBBE, then Bodyslide. In bodyslide, you must then select your custom body shape and Build the CBBE body as well as all the outfits. The CBBE main mod includes the required bodyslide files, so you should be able to simply select your custom body shape, select and build the body, then select the vanilla outfits group and build them all with the batch build option.

I warmly recommend Bodyslide for any additional standalone outfit mods. A majority of mods default to the CBBE curvy preset but in Bodyslide you can easily build the outfits for any of the CBBE default shapes or to your custom shape. If you learn to use Outfit Studio, you can even import non-bodyslided outfits and convert them from their original body shape to your desired one.
