modav also works
Just be careful, increase it too much and it becomes a negative carryweight.

Generally I use fortify carryweight enchantments on my gloves and boots (carry a spare pair unitl you get the dual enchantment perk) and the steed stone, since I am generally wary of using console commands, they can break your game if used unwisely.

Couldnt you just quicksave prior to the command being executed, and then if things go south load back?

But with carry capacity getting calculated from stamina, doesnt it reset to the correct ammount when you increase stamina at level up? Perhaps it would be better to console command stamina up and carry capacity follows.

Hard saves are better, since you sometimes get issues with quick saves.
But yes that would work.

I wouldnt add more than x2 the vanilla carry weight, otherwise it makes the game too easy and boring. Not that it isnt already boring....

No, carryweight is it's own variable and the game simply adds to it when stamina is increased. I think 5 pts carry for every 10 stamina increase. Magical items that increase carryweight are added as a temporary modifier, a seperate variable.

well everybody his own I guess I mean I find inventory management boring .... and yes try a carry weight of 600 with legacy of the dragonborn installed when you have to build for instance your armory/weapon displays ....

I simply roleplay that my character has a portable hole and can carry however much I want.

I always try to keep my carry weight reasonably low anyway (around 220 is usually where it sits AFTER selling things.) So that would be perfect.

Well the problem is, things don't always go wrong right away with console commands.
