Infinite spell sound effect loop bug

On a specific character I play, there is a constantly looping ice (I think) spell sound effect and it never goes away. only on that character however. this has been going on for a long time, the sound effect is not present on the menus, map or console. I used tfc to move away from my character and the noice persisted, so it seems like the sound effect is stuck on the camera. I tried the sexchange command but it doesn't get rid of it. Anyone knows a possible solution?

I was trying to see if anyone else had encountered that problem before, or if they had a solution. When I did notice that the bug existed, none of my savegames were without it. There is one I haven't tried, but it was done 1-2 months ago and I wouldn't want to go so far back.

I do use mods. I remember at one point the sexchange command would remove the sound, but not anymore. I tried removing mods with audio effects similar to this, but it didn't fix it.

Well, rip for removing mods mid playthrough and how do you expect help when we don't even know the mods you were using?

Have you tried removing your equipment.

Yeah. I heard best form might help, but I think I tried it before. I might try a mod to turn down the volume of magic and make it bearable.

YES! That's a perfect solution! Because a mod causes errors, let's download even more mods to "fix" previous issues. I'm taking notes here.

Switching into beast form (tested with vamp lord, I'd assume werewolf would work too) fixed it for me.

Hey, I was having the same issue in Skyrim LE. My game is modded as well. Cannot say if it is a mod thing or the game itself.

Then this reply helped me out. Transforming and reverting back stopped the weird audio loop.

Might be other options to end it as well. Basically anything that will end combat.

Like stunning yourself eating alchemy ingredients?
Riding a wagon?
Swimming?

Kinda sucks the sound loop bug gets baked into a save. I know a save, exit, load usually fixes it for other objects and NPCs.

Don't listen to these fools. I'm having the same issue now, and thanks to unhelpful ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in this discussion thread, I have wasted time locating a solution.

Like the main poster here, I did not recognize that I was afflicted by this bug until I was several saves past the point of no return, as the magic effect sound (Constant zapping sound in my case) grows quieter, and louder, and seems to change when you die.

So, in the future, instead of posting like an ♥♥♥♥-waffle, as you have here, try being helpful. Or shutting up.
