Dragon Scroll sell back, glitch?
So I sold my elder scroll to Urag in winterhold, I started the Dawnguard quests and remembered that I still needed it like Dexion said. I bought it back from Urag and finished the Dawnguard quests... This is the part I need help on... I want to sell it back to Urag because I no longer have a use for it, he didn’t have the option for me to sell it again, so I sold my other two to dexion and tried again... still no... Does anyone have a fix to this using commands or any other way? I finished the shalidor’s insights quest hoping that that would fix it but still no... someone please help me get out of this predicament....

Have you tried to sell it to him through buying boopks from him?

He doesn't normally make a second offer, no. I doubt any commands exist to change that, but if you simply want the scroll out of your inventory, this should have your character drop it:

player.drop 0002d513 1

You could then perhaps display it somewhere within your house by dragging it onto a dresser or something. I gather mods exist for this sort of purpose, too.
Get the itemid for Elderscroll (dragon) and use the dropitem command, it's the only solution if you get the scroll back after selling it to Urag.

You should also be able to sell it to Dexion.

Nah, he only buys the Sun / Blood scrolls (and then only if you either sided with the Dawnguard, or have the unofficial patches installed).

That would just delete it entirely

You need the Scroll one more time for the main quest. Before that, you won't be able to sell it to Urag

no...that removes it from inventory...and can be gotten back with player.additem 0002d513 1
And it wouldnt be dropped, which means it was deleted entirely. However, you tried to correct the guy above with a wrong command.

removeitem does not delete it from the game....it simply removes the item. Drop literally drops an item from your target's inventory onto the ground.

player.additem adds to tyour character's inventory.

player.additem reverses and simply adds to the player's inventory.
I think you misunderstand what im saying. You thought i said it would delete the item from the game entirely. I (tried) to say that the item just doesnt exist on the map anymore, which doesnt exclude getting it back via console.

Quite frankly, if you merely dropped it, it would still take up space on the map. It is also very likely that the OP has not finished any of the main quests, or finished the Winterhold quests before talking to Urag. Those two conditions so NOT trigger the dialog to sell Elder Scroll Dragon back to him.

Exactly, it was misunderstanding.
