Does SSE have a steam workshop button? You are welcome.

Mods are now downloaded inside the game through the internal manager or through an extern manager like Nexus mod manager.

No, you need to use Nexusmods site for Special Edition or the in-game mods menu.

You don't have to be that rude to him, he just asked a legit question, and you're here screwing him over ? Felicia please.

You very well can use Steam Workshop mods with Skyrim SE, but it does take a bit of knowledge regarding not only converting mods from Skyrim to SSE, but also a couple additional steps compared to using and/or converting mods from Nexus, etc. First, you either have to have regular Skyrim ("Oldrim") installed in order to do the "Sub>Download>Extract>Repack>UnSub" method, or an alternate way to download/acquire the mod.

DISCLAIMER: You should NEVER convert and re-upload someone else's work without their express consent, even if giving them credit for the mods creation. Bad manners at best, potentially illegal at worst, and will get you banned from most mod hosting websites and generally ostracized by the modding community. Converting mods for personal use is absolutely fine, though, so no worries there.

Last, but certainly not least, you may eventually encounter .ckm files in some of the extracted mods. From my hours of scouring the interwebs concerning what these files are and do, they are files that are only necessary as part of the subscribe feature of Steam Workshop mods, and are completely unnecessary if using a Mod Manager or manually modding Skyrim or Skyrim SE. You must delete them, otherwise your converted mod will not activate and it can have some unpleasant effects on your save. There are even some mods that you will come across on Skyrim Nexus, while converting to SSE, that still have these .ckm files inside, so always check any extracted mods, from any source, that you are converting to ensure there are no old/unneeded files, bad file path structures, etc. It takes a little more time, but will save you a LOT of potential (let's just be honest here and say "inevitable") heartbreak down the line concerning your save. 5 minutes of your time doing things properly is a whole lot preferable to a broken monitor and a sore fist lol. Hope this will help someone now or in the future.

Perhaps not. However, if it eventually helps someone who, like myself, stumbled across this post during my research, then I won't call it wasted time.

They call this necroing old threads and that's something most of us hate around here.

Well, let's play a game. You go ahead and try to guess just exactly how many s**ts I give about what you do or do not like. Go on, take a guess.

Thanks tbh, here I am a year later wondering the same thing and you gave a brilliant answer. I don't know why they want to be on here all "why would you spread knowledge that 'I' dont want to know?" As if they are literally the centre of the universe. Also no one forces these people to click onto this topic, read your posts and reply. So getting mad over 'necroing' is pathetic.

Anyways thanks for your post, helped a lot

You completely miss the point of why people hate necroing generally.

The number 1 reason is laziness of the people who necro a thread instead of spending 2 seconds finding the info out for themselves, a bit like the numpty OP.

And I find it ironic that you are getting mad about people who hate necroing.

Some of us have a brain and actually take the time to solve our own issues first before posting on the forums or necroing.

Although some of us are more patient than most, it does get a bit tiresome, that some people do not conduct their own research, or even read stickied threads etc about common info.

Some of us necro haters call that `lazy` and some of us think that is pathetic.

Golden rules of modding are as follows, have a brain, read a lot, and have common sense.

Saves the numerous threads of complaints.

Oh wait...it happens anyways, as many do not follow the golden rules.

Honestly, I always found it annoying how some steam workshop mods have never been ported. Worse yet, since they're only available on the workshop, you can't just download them and port them yourself. For instance, I've never gotten to play 'the bigger they are', and now I don't even know if it would work for the latest version of LE. I know workshop mods had a habit of suddenly not working (or just messing up your game) when skyrim was updated. I haven't seriously looked at the workshop in years, so I don't really know what all is there even.
