Red Screen of Death
I finally had about three hours of uninterupted gameplay yesterday,on Skyrim Special. Then tonight I'm booted twice 10min into game. After I travelled from Solsteim back to main to start my life....suddenly i get Red Screen of Death out of nowhere!! WTF is going on with Steam and this Game. i had to uninstall Fallout 4 because of same issues. I have high end system running on Win 10. Does anyone know a solution?? I should also add that my Nod32 antivirus has an auto game mode so it's not that.

Is your system overclocked? How's the temperature while it's running? Have you scanned for malware or damaged BIOS drivers?
If the error is described as [screen color] of death, it's generally not caused by the program running when the issue occured but by a deeper issue in your computer itself. Red Screen of Death is generally caused by bad BIOS or misfunctioning hardware--overheating can cause hardware malfunctions, so I would start there.

Ok, let's go over a few basic points:

- Steam didn't make the game, they're just the distribution network. Unless Steam also crashes, there's no "what's with Steam and this Game" to answer.
- When you say "Traveling from Solstheim to Skyrim to start my life" I presume you mean you're using a mod whereby you start as someone else besides the dragonborn in the cart going to Helgen to get your head chopped off for being a 30-something neckbeard with all skills set at 5. Try it without the mod, then complain.
- "High end system" and "running Win 10" - make up your mind, are you using a high-end system or are you running Windows 10? You can't do both.
- Nod32 antivirus. Skyrim SE is 64-bit. Your OS should be 64-bit (otherwise it's not running on a "high-end system", but then if it's Windows 10, it's not a high-end system anyway). If your AV is 32-bit, and you're running it on a 64-bit OS, your 32-bit AV is the problem.

Solutions:
- Revert to Windows 8.1 64-bit. Yes, the one that looks like a giant smartphone interface. Or go back to Windows 7 64-bit if you don't like being able to click an "up one level" arrow in Explorer.
- Get a 64-bit antivirus that you might have to pay for to get better protection.
- Consider the fact that the latest video drivers that came out last week for a game that was made originally in 2011 might not be the smartest thing to do, because no one writes drivers for old games. No one writes drivers for Skyrim Special Edition, either. No one. If the driver didn't mention Skyrim Special Edition by name, don't use it for Skyrim Special Edition.

The article focuses on Win8 but talks about similar RSOD issue as the driver talent page.

Random useful information. Might want to check your BIOS updates just in case.

Best to resolve this sooner rather than later in case it is indeed about your hardware. The faster you react, the more you can salvage from your high end system. Ignore it and eventually something will melt.

Thanks Guys for your Replies. I supremely appreciate your Condesending tone DrNewcenstein. Beings that I am an Electrician and not a Computer tech was only relaying as to what I have? Your insinuation of how big of an idiot i am was refreshing, thanks for that. I will remember that when i'm stupid enough to ask for online help again. God forbid I word something in the wrong way that offends your little geek ego. I will rely on my own Comp tech from here on out. As for the other two. Thankyou for you're advice. I will relay that on to my tech.
