I can't level up

So, the game keeps reminding me to level up but when i go to the skills menu i don't get the option to level up. I don't have any mods that change leveling up. I tried loading an older save but the same thing happened.

Survival mode you have to use a bed of some sort to level up like in the previous games

You should actually read what Survival mode entails before "going in blind" so you don't have issues like this. It tells you this on the screen where you activate it IIRC.

So what? As long as the op is enjoying the paid mods AND Bethesda doesn't make free mods harder to use its no harm, no foul.

Perhaps, I'm thinking about trying to get ineeds/cold & wet working even though I have survival too see which one I like better. (That sleeping to level up us annoying and I feel as if survival's hunger bar goes by too quickly.)

depends on your race, some races are easier to handle in it. I do kind of prefer the survival mode, it handles things in a decent way without being too nasty (though on my mage playthrough right now that fatigue is killer if you don't rest so that is one reason that leveling up isn't a problem)

I usually end up playing a Nord with an occasional Imperial or Brenton, so I can imagine how nasty the cold would be without that extra warmth bonus.
