Mods to make use of all my gold?
Do you guys have any mods that make your gold more useful? I have 50k right now and nothing to spend it on.

I'm guessing with vanilla that the only thing I'll ever spend it on is more houses/house building, but I don't know how much I need for that as I have investigated that part of the game yet.

Needing to repair my equipment is a good idea, but sadly I can't find any SE mod for this.

Well, just buy the whole of Skyrim with

And since you can't just get filthy rich, pay some taxes.

Then you can ofc add random collection of new shops that sell expensive stuff.

Also might be worth to check out new items. Probably not many gold sinks there tough.

At least one though, Ultimate Assortment by Favoredsoul adds items to merchants.

Fortunately it's possible to port it over to SE. I did it and the only issue I see is it doesn't have the enchanted loot spawn feature.

Most of my gold has come from selling items, not quest rewards.

Perhaps a better solution would be to lower your carry weight so looting isn't really an option?

Or just don't loot everything under the sun in the first place. RP'ing helps.

Well right now I'm no longer looting because I don't need any items for leveling purposes and I don't need the gold from selling them because there's nothing to spend it on. This has made dungeons a little more boring. I'd like to make it necessary to have gold so that I have a reason to loot and then sell the items.

Start from the beginning of your game only looting things that "make sense": small items that would fit in your pack like gems and gold, not 4 sets of Steel Armor for example. Otherwise, just buy a lot of training or just like... drop all your gold in a chest in your house and ignore it. Why not make a treasure room filled with gold coins and gems?

House mods that cost money to use the house.

My solution was to slow down usual skill progression (25% of vanilla) and also increase how many times you can train with NPCs per level. So I still feel like I'm progressing my skills slightly when I use them, but trainers are a lot more useful and faster for leveling up so I need to keep a steady gold supply for them. Just because I'm the Dragonborn and can shout doesn't mean that I'm better than NPCs that have been doing their skill most of their life after all. That's where getting from level 90 to 100 sets me apart :)

I like addfing in a bonus fortify for each Legendary skill myself. :steammocking:
