Imperial or Nord, useless question.
Just wantet to get you opinion on which race is better (cooler), and maybe some explenation why, lore, skills, rolepay whatever, from Skyrim or other game titles.
I usualy play Battlemage or just tanky Warrior and always end up choosing between them, coz I actualy enjoy playing humans. In both races is something I like and dislike, Imperials are a bit too Roman and Nords are a bit too fair-haired Swedy-Dany-Vikings.
BAck in Oblivion and Morrowind I enyoyed Nords a little more for their boost to Endurence. And again in ESO Imperials coz of their boost to HP.

The Nords are the children of the sky, a race of tall and fair-haired humans from Skyrim who are known for their incredible resistance to cold and magical frost. They are fierce, strong and enthusiastic warriors, and many become renowned warriors, soldiers and mercenaries all over Tamriel. Eager to augment their martial skills beyond the traditional methods of Skyrim, they excel in all manner of warfare, and are known as a militant people by their neighbors. Nords are also natural seamen, and have benefited from nautical trade since their first migrations from Atmora. They captain and crew many merchant fleets, and may be found all along the coasts of Tamriel.

Orcs, also called Orsimer or "Pariah Folk" in ancient times, are sophisticated, beastlike people of the Wrothgarian Mountains, Dragontail Mountains, Valenwood, and Orsinium (literally translated as "Orc-Town"). They are noted for their unshakable courage in war and their unflinching endurance of hardships. Orcs have elven blood, but are usually considered to be beastfolk. In the past, Orcs have been widely feared and hated by the other nations and races of Tamriel, and were often considered to be goblin-ken. However, they have slowly won acceptance in the Empire, in particular for their distinguished service in the Emperor's Legions. Orc armorers are prized for their craftsmanship, and Orc warriors in heavy armor are among the finest front-line troops in the Empire, and are fearsome when using their berserker rage. Orcs have a lifespan similar to that of humans. Most Imperial citizens regard the Orc society as rough and cruel. The Orcs of the Iliac Bay region have developed their own language, known as Orcish, and have often had their own kingdom, Orsinium.

Imperials start with a very helpful +10 in Restoration, giving Necromage vampires or Dawnguard vampire hunters a headstart. On the other hand, the Nord's starting skill boosts are pretty useful overall, and their passive racial ability actually works. (Due to a bug, every race gets the "Imperial Luck" ability after Helgen.) Both of their racial abilities are pretty good, although Voice of the Emperor might be better (it makes the enemies stand in place, making them easier to kill off).

The more I find out about the bugs that Bethesda created the more I'm wondering how could they ♥♥♥♥ up such a baisic things so many times and never try to fix it. The whole cast of buged followers and items which could be fixed within a 5 hours work and small path.

As a sneaky battlemake using illusion spells to make enemies fight eachoother and alteration/destuction and a axe, i have played as a dunmer, just cause they look cool. I like to limit myselff, and not use restoration and smithing, as they make the game too easy.

Also a Orc is very strong using any large weapon.

Skyrim:Imperial
Also known as Cyrodiils, Cyrodilics, Cyro-Nordics and Imperial Cyrods, the well-educated and well-spoken Imperials are the natives of the civilized, cosmopolitan province of Cyrodiil. Imperials are also known for the discipline and training of their citizen armies, and their respect for the rule of law. Though physically less imposing than the other races, the Imperials have proved to be shrewd diplomats and traders, and these traits, along with their remarkable skill and training as light infantry, have enabled them to subdue all the other nations and races and erect the monument to peace and prosperity that comprises the Glorious Empire. Their hegemony has waxed and waned throughout the eras, and most historians refer to three distinct Empires, the ends of which each mark a new epoch in Tamrielic history.

And Hevey magic users, just like the elves. Can't be trusted to anything.

Actually Skyrim belongs to the snow Elfs but let's go along with that.

I tend to go with Nords personally, both for role play (It is thier homeland and the Dragon Soul just "feels" right as a Nord.), as well as Rollplay reasons since I play with survival mode and that extra bit of cold resist helps.

Besides, even as a Nord, it's not unreasonable to side with the Empire even if most of my characters never did (That "you might have earned your pardon." line never sat well with me even if the Stormcloaks weren't much better.) so I never felt pressured into being an Imperial just to experience both sides of the Civil War.

Uncivilized, pelt-wearing axe-dragger. It's a wonder you don't still live in a cave like those ancestors you keep boasting about.

I go for Imperials for roleplaying reason, being the Colovian Imperial whoare the easiest to identyfie with me, as they sometimes feel Slavic amd are generaly less Roman and a bit more Nordic/tribal.

Maybe you don't recognize that quote? It's actually paraphrased (pronoun changes only) from a statement made by a Nord... nothing to do with elves.
