Commander Maro doesn't appear/ can't find him
So I completed the dark brotherhood storyline a while back, but Amaund didn't tell me that I should go kill commander maro so now I can't. The game acts like he isn't an NPC anymore so it doesn't let me teleport to him. Also, this was a while back so I can't load that save without wiping my progress of the entire Empire vs Stormcloaks storyline.

His men still show up at solitude for no reason. I'm getting rather annoyed.

What do you mean by this? Unless you hit him with the markfordelete command, he should still be registered in the game. What commands are you entering, and what are the actual responses you're getting back?

Killing Commander Maro was part of the endgame with the Brotherhood. It was a secondary objective you needed to complete before finishing the primary. I don't think Amaund tells you to do it though. Can't remember the actual conversation for that part. You have to kill him before killing the Emperor though or else you won't be able to do it. I think he despawns and basically heads back to the Empire if you haven't killed him before the end of that quest.

Ok so I found out I was typing the normal NPC id instead of the ref. I did it and it worked. He stays at the place in dragon bridge, but won't react surprised when I walk up to him. This partially help find an answer
