"Hired Thug"
A group of "Hired thugs" tried to kill me. The letter was signed by the name hert or bert. Anyone know who did this?

I think Hert is the vampire lady in Half-Moon Mill. Maybe you stole from her or made her mad any other way.

Maybe, it said they wanted me for theft. Where would I find her?

Very close to the Darkbrotherhood sancuary in Falkreath.

Some npcs send these guys after you when you steal from them regardless of being caught.

I don’t get how they know it was you if no one caught you.

Well Hert is a vampire, she can maybe recognize your particular smell. The others are just very good wannabe CSI agents, except they prefer hiring thugs to justice.
