Mod Organizer 2 or Vortex?
Which is the best at the moment?

I can't speak on behalf of MO2. I use Vortex and there's a little bit of a learning curve with it but uninstalling any mod is a ballache. It leaves esp files and any texture file from uninstalled mods. Unless you know where and what files are safe to delete, hold off on Vortex for now.

I've been using Mod Organizer for years (first 1 and now 2) and I can't imagine using another manager for the game. It was absolutely worth learning how it works way back then and I'd even say it helped me with learning other parts of Skyrim modding.

mod organizer 2 there are a few issues however in general you have much more control over your mods.

I would it can cope with LE and SSE so I see no reason why not.

I would the next time you decide to start a new file. No reason to jiggle things around when you've got a working game going, assuming you do.

I don't know anything about Vortex, so I'll recommend Mod Organizer 2 too, wih the added incentive that there's very good video tutorials for it floating around Youtube.

I use MO2 and love it. That being said, it kind of depends what you are planning on doing. If all you want is to install 5 mods and want a plug and play type of experience, Vortex may be your answer. If your going to mod the hell out of it and want a very fine level of control, then MO2 is what your looking for.

How would I go about transfering my mods from MO1 to MO2?

One way would be to just copy the downloads and mods folder from your MO1 directory into your MO2 directory if you are using portable installs. Are you playing SSE? I didn't think MO1 worked for SSE.

No I haven't gotten around to modding SSE as of yet. But I was thinking about transfering over my mods from FNV to MO2. Is that a good idea to do or should i stick with MO1
