Lol... reload to a point where you didn't kill her, and then don't kill her.
SpeedFreak1972 May 30, 2018 @ 5:34am
why o why people always want to kill everything .... well now you know the consequences

Unfortunately, you'll then have to just live with the quest not being completed. Game runs a death script and this cannot be undone.

Wrong answer!!!!!

Ahh , gee! (OP - little joke we got going on)

And now to dive back into the game - almost more real than the real world (and makes a heck of a lot more sense!).
SpeedFreak1972 May 30, 2018 @ 6:17am
yep if it doesn't respond well hit it with a warhammer

no not really. He (or she) can bring up the console, first do showquesttargets, find the quest ID for the stuck quest, then either do completequest <QuestID> (which is buggy from what I'm reading), or do setstage <quest id> <stage value>, which according to my source is actually useful for stuck quests

Er, no. The NPC required to complete the quest is dead (which is why it could not be completed in the first place). The game has that NPC marked as dead. Ergo, the quest cannot be completed.

Fortunately this is a miscellaneous quest that has no bearing on anything else.

Not to mention that it is a really bad idea to be using the console (especially to complete quests) unless you really know what you are doing and have been advised to do so by either the UESP wiki, or one of the reliable forum regulars (myself being one of them).

as I GOT that info from the UESP I think this is acceptable. Besides, the console commands will work even if the NPC is dead. I should know, I also had to use those commands when a quest had me protect an already dead NPC

can't you res her like most npcs? Important npcs tend to remain at the death location, at least the body...

that depends on if he/she remembers where said NPC died... but that WOULD work
