Apocalypse magic mod: Elemental Blast spell

So my character does 183 fire dmg and 183 shock dmg with this spell. Are the effects seperate or as one. As in do i do the added damage of 366 or just 183?

It would depend on how the Mod was made.

Sparks for example
When cast, Sparks shoots a continuous stream of electricity at a target, dealing shock damage per second to the target's Health, and half of that to Magicka.

Find a place with similar mobs, who can survive 200-300 damage. Nuke one with a spell that deals approximately 180 damage and observe. Then nuke a fresh mob with this spell and watch if the bar drops the same or more.
