Should I get the unofficial patch?
I have a feeling that this is a extremely dumb question to ask but as I know it fixes a bunch if bugs however some I worried about first is that one exploit where you can create smithing potions to make op weapons, second is the black star as in game everyone says only black souls can enter but white souls can also enter it, and finally those fun glitches with the bucket overhead or being launched way up in the sky by a giant. Again I feel this is a dumb question to ask so I apogize in advance. Though please answer if you can please...

Yes, the Unofficial Patch removes the Restoration Loop. I've not heard of the Smithing loop, but it's easy enough to apply the Restoration Looped potions to Enchanting Potions and make Super Smithing Gear, just like you use it to make Super Alchemy Gear.

The Restoration Loop directly affected nothing beyond Restoration-based potions and Alchemy gear. While over-cranking potions made the math go haywire, when done right it did not break quests, make NPCs vanish, make animals fall from the sky, or any of the other hundreds of issues.

That fact is not debatable.
Period.

You could only do it on purpose, and not by accident. It was also very easy to undo by removing the enhanced item, waiting for an hour (or more depending on the effect) and continuing your game from there. The longest-lasting effects came from shrines and standing stones (timed bonuses), and while those did have the potential to crash the game (Shrine of Talos' Shout Timer effect mostly), most were manageable. With practice, you could find the "sweet spot" of where a potion should be to get a long-lasting Shrine or other timed bonus without crashing.

Of course it was also easy enough to remember to hit the shrine again to reset the timer.

New Players : You must install the Unofficial Skyrim Patches by Nazenn - http://steamcommunity.com/app/72850/discussions/0/613956964579064476/
Although this was written for original Skyrim, the basic principles apply to SSE as well.
If you refuse to install the patch, then there is little anyone can do to help should you encounter a problem, and any efforts to do so are pointless, as so many solutions to problems rely upon it.

As to "exploits", they are for the most part unintended errors that were never fixed by the original developers. To complain about them being fixed is like complaining when the loaded dice are removed from the table, and the correct ones are put in.

Hey now, put those loaded dice back on the table.

And if it really bothers you that much, use xEdit to customize the Unofficial Patch to your liking.

Besides, they are so fitting when I'm loaded, as well (if only)!

Most popular exploits fixed in USSEP have undoing-patches of their own on the nexus.

Better off using a mod to undo things than opening it up with xEdit. IF you don'y know what you are doing, and don't have the experience working with xEdit, it is real easy to completely mess up your game.

True, but they count as another plugin and I'm never QUITE sure that the edits are as clean as I would have made them. :steammocking:

Then again, it's really easy for people to mess up their game just by installing it according to the topics started in this forum.

Actually, it's pretty easy for some people to mess up their game, just by downloading it

So just to want to note in all I want is a simple answer will it or will it not fix the exploits I have mentioned? I’d like to thank stormsong and smr1957 to giving me closest to a yes or a no with the exception of stormsong who answered with the word “yes” and fauxpas for proposing an alternative...
