How do I set up PCEA custom animation paths?
I have read the page and all I just can't figure out where this "Animations" folder it says to put custom animations into is, the main thing I need to know is HOW do I make it so my character draws his double swords from his back but nobody else in the game does? I was using immersive animations to make him draw from the back but it made everyone draw two swords from their back even if they didn't have two. Immersive animations is supposed to be included in PCEA2 but when I disable immersive animations and activate PCEA my character still only draws ONE sword from his back. Anybody versed in this mod able to help out?

The animation folders are located in Meshes\actors\character\animations\FNIS_PCEA2. PCEA2 only installs some of the animation files for each animation mod. You'll have to manually install the rest. Don't forget to rerun FNIS after installing or uninstalling animation files, or they won't be registered and won't work properly.

Found the folder, how do I make it so my character will use the dual wielding animations? I mean, they are already THERE inside immersive animations in PCEA but my guy wont use them :(

Very difficult to understand how this folder works. In any tutorial videos I'm seeing it seems there should only be 10 folders inside PCEA but theres 13 showing for me and a TON of loose files too

First, manually download Immersive Animations. Then extract all files to the Immersive Animation folder (Meshes\actors\character\animations\FNIS_PCEA2\1Bergzore_ImmersiveAnimations). Overwrite all files when asked. Then run FNIS. After that, start up Skyrim then go to Mod Configuration, select FNIS PCEA2, then select "Bergzore_ImmersiveAnimations". The animations should play. If you want your character to sheathe two weapons, you need to install an Oldrim mod called Dual Sheathe Redux. If you want your character to sheathe weapons in other locations like the back or belt, you need to install XP32 Maximum Skeleton Special Extended.

Make sure to create a folder starting with a number between 0 and 9(be careful not to overwrite a file you may want to keep). And place the animation files into that folder. Place that folder into the PCEA2 folder.

Assuming you have MCM installed, open the game, pause, go to the right(to the settings tab) and scroll down until you find the option "Mod Configuration Menu". Then select that, and locate the PCEA2 option. Select that, then select the animation pack you want to use.

Really, just read the instructions on the PCEA2 mod page, it should have everything you need.

The only folders that will show in the ingame MCM though, are the ones that start with a number between 0 and 9. And each is unique (as in, you can't have two folders starting with the same number).

I already have DSR and XMPSSE and everything I need it's simply the animations I'm having problems with. How do I do the FOMOD if I install manually? You know, how I am able to choose what I want from the mod? Otherwise won't doing as you said just install an animation pack which is already being included in PCEA?

You'll going to have to know exactly what you're installing if it's you're using FOMOD animations. If you're using Mod Organizer 2, it's quite easy. Install the mod through mod organizer 2, then right click the animation mod, select open in explorer, and copy or extract all files to the FNIS PCEA2 folder of your choice. If you're still having issues, it could be possible that Immersive Animations is being overwritten by another animation mod.

Got it working, Had to install immersive animations normally again through NMM picking what options I wanted, then I cleared out the immersive animations folder inside PCEA2 and copy pasted the files from the standalone immersive animations in there instead. It only works if that animation pack is the ONLY one I have selected though. Any other cool animations that would still work with immersive animations for me to consider getting to throw inside that folder too? Like male walking/running/idling styles etc? Probably not seeing as 99% of the content made is for slooty female characters lol

Plenty. One handed animations, Two handed, jumping, weapon bashing etc. Just search for animations on the nexus until you find what you like. Oldrim animations won't work with Special Edition unless you convert them to work, or else you'll get the T-pose glitch.

Just so I get it, as long as I place animations in with my dual wield ones they should be compatible and work together? Like can I put two handed ones in there too and they will just be used automatically when a two handed weapon is used?

Yes. If you use two animation mods that alter the same thing however, one of them will take priority and overwrite the other.

Ahhh so that must be why the immersive animation pack that comes WITH PCEA2 didn't work for dual wielding as standard, because it probably already had a file controlling one handed weapon drawing/sheathing.... Or can I alter different drawing/sheathing methods for one handed weapons but just not for swords since I have them set to the dual wield animation? Like would I be able to get a different animation for drawing a one handed axe? Seeing as the animation for drawing it IS different anyways because it sits on the hip and not the back?
