Is there a way to convert form 43 to 44 WITHOUT using the Creation Kit?
I'm trying to convert some oldrim mods to the proper form but the god forsaken creation kit refuses to open them because apparently they rquire "too many master files" to be opened....

Please tell me that there is another tool I can use; hopefully SSedit or something.

You can go into the creationkit.ini and add the line
bAllowMultipleMasterLoads=1
To [General], then scroll down to
sResourceArchiveList2
And add dawnguard.bsa, hearthfires.bsa, and dragonborn.bsa (and any texture bsas) to the end of the list after update.bsa.
Be certain that the spelling matches the files in your data folder.

That is the fix, By default the CK onky lets you load one master. You have to do that edit to load multiple, Which the mod your trying to open requires.

Hmm, if I may ask another question; my config looks like;

SResourceArchiveList2=Skyrim - Voices_en0.bsa, Skyrim - Textures0.bsa, Skyrim - Textures1.bsa, Skyrim - Textures2.bsa, Skyrim - Textures3.bsa, Skyrim - Textures4.bsa, Skyrim - Textures5.bsa, Skyrim - Textures6.bsa, Skyrim - Textures7.bsa, Skyrim - Textures8.bsa, Skyrim - Patch.bsa

And I don't have dawnguard.bsa; ect in my data folder, only the .esm versions.

The easiest fix is to open Wrye Bash, click "add ESL tag" and then remove it again. Wrye bash can also detect files that CAN be used as ESL despite having the ESP extension.

Nice necro, I'd forgotten this thread.

However, BS answered my question way back when correctly, I needed to change a setting in the CK and once I did so everything worked perfectly.
