Which House has the Most Bookshelves?
I collect books. Which house has the most bookshelves to help store my collection?

I think the best thing to do would be building one of the Hearthfire houses and then add a library to it. There are also a lot of other bookshelves you can build in those houses.

hearthfire houses are the ones to go with there. The towers are real nice for shelves. More space than needed for every book in the game

Should get a courier message to go to a jarl, talk to them do a little quest or two and you'll be allowed to buy a house plot (falkreath has a nice one, but I prefer the one from dawnstar as it is near whiterun and makes a nice home) There is another one near morthal that is in the swamp which is good for the mages/assassins

Check the wiki and see which one you want to use, and which hold you need to get it from.

There are several places where you can build. One by the lake in Falkreath, one in the tundra below Dawnstar, and one in the swampy region above Morthal. To get access to a plot of land you need to be thane in one of those Holds. I'd say the nicest location is Falkreath, and becoming thane of Falkreath is also very easy. Go there (or to whichever of the three Holds you'd like), help the Jarl, become thane and then talk to his steward to buy land. The game pretty much tells you what to do from there!

The one close to Morthal used to be my favorite, best spot, imo. close to the shore. And I believe it's the only one you can have a small fish farm. There's a small bandit camp that could give ya some trouble. The thing is... the other houses have bigger threats...

The one close to Falkareath had consistent giants spawning nearby, occasionaly a sorcerer and more rarely bears and Spigrans (forgot propper name).

The one above of Whiterun seemed to be the safest for a while then a freaking Dragon decide to visit it... more than once...

If you want the pre-made housing Proudspire Manor in Solitude or the free house in Solstheim both have a modest amount of shleving.

There's a ton of mods that add great player homes to the game. Maybe you'd like to check that out.
