Why do you guys play as female characters?
I get it if you're a girl, but I've recently realized I've never chosen a female character, always a mighty male hero.

In the end it doesn't really matter, you know with the whole silent character thing, wouldn't be surprised if people have actually forgotten what gender they picked.

Oblivion had gender-based bonuses, such as magic-related perks/boosts for females. Of course, Oblivion also had a more powerful magic system.

However, Skyrim removed all gender-based bonuses for everything, and crippled the magic system.

But then CBBE bodies came along and made playing as a female fun again. And then you had AP for Oldrim, and of course Apachii Sky Hair, and them MAK07's Remodeled Armors, and those took a little bit of the sting out of all the idiotic gimps that Bethesda implemented in order to appeal more to the Call Of Doodie fanbois.

It is like some female player want to play as male character in game.

Dude, if roleplaying as a gender dfferent from your own is confusing, don't try pen and paper RPGs, that **** will blow your mind.

Honestly I find men boring.
Females are better. They're nicer, cuter and more cool.
And you get more variety and more good looking clothes.
So, I play as female.

And if there's romance in the game, always play as female and pursue females because is 1000% cuter.

This is a role-playing game. Its inarguably less hetero to try to put yourself into the shoes of the opposite sex than to create a character resembling yourself.

"Inarguably", sure thing Tiger.
Thanks for proving my point.

Unless there's been a third definition of "gay" added by the hip kidz that I just don't know about... isn't it more straight for a male player to play a female character, and more gay for a male player to play a male character?

Food for thought.

This is an action game. It's inarguably more hetero to prefer the look of the female form than to prefer the look of the male form.

I'm loving how some people feel the need to make a point of how male they are in real life, it's quite amusing.

What point, that you're a nutjob? We all know that by now, no help needed.

Yeah, because your comment about how RP'ing a female is "gay" was adding an intelligent and constructive comment to the thread. Get your head out of your ass.

You sound like a sociopath.

i didnt ask for your judgement either, americano.

Then you shouldn't be a sociopathic pig spouting off about your fantasies of kidnapping and forcibly starving women.

I tend to play archetypal characters and to choose their gender accordingly.

30 years of fighting sexsism down the drain in one sentence! :steamhappy:

But I create the character I feel like creating at that time (with a lot or regret later if it was a trolly moment XD). That can be either female or male. However I also often just try to recreate myself to some extend, making me play more males in the long run.

Nah, archetypes exist for a reason and it's only the fanatics that rail against them. (Provided of course that no one is arguing that people should be limited to playing said archetypes, which I don't think a arcasor was.)

Archetyping (stereotyping) based on gender is basically the definition of sexism, next to discriminating and prejudice based on it.

I'm not saying it is bad or untrue, or that it isn't for that matter. Just thought it was funny.
