Why do you guys play as female characters?

I get it if you're a girl, but I've recently realized I've never chosen a female character, always a mighty male hero.

I like looking at female chars, to be honest. plus, theres more armor and graphical mods for female chars than there are male.

I am a male who quite often plays as female characters - for me its pretty simple and nothing overly sexual or anything - its just to me i prefer the look and astecic of females, and i find the idea of a badass female worrior/wizard pretty cool...

For people who somehow think playing a different gender is 'wierd' or 'wrong' - really need to grow up and get a level of maturity...at the end of the day its video games and people should be able to enjoy them how ever they choose...

Well technically it absolutely is a figment of your imagination, and your imagination is NOBODY'S business as most people can understand its distinction from real life. The only dangerous people who need psychological aid here are the people who can't differentiate between these.

It's the same difference between going on a mass shooting in GTA 5 and in real life. I'm sure we can clearly distinguish between imaginary characters made from code and real people in real life with real experiences and real feelings.

So I must say, I quite strongly think there's absolutely no moral objection in finding enjoyment roleplaying a strong female character with whom I can do with as I freaking wish. Can't say I'm about to go on a "make a woman wear armor and force her to swordfight a bear in the woods" rampage....

to answer the actual thread question: i play as female because the males are gross looking in-game, imo. also i play in first person because for me its much more immersive, and id rather not see any butts at all unlike some people here

also female swordwielders are much more cooler than your regular every day (in terms of skyrim) viking-like berzerker.
to answer all of this: Dro, please stay away from every women ever; also never have a daughter for the sake of not only your felony/criminal record but also your hypothetical daughters sanity

I play female when i want to have jerkoff material, i play male when i want to show more of my actual self.
Eg: I played as female nord in GW2 for a long while cos breasts and skimpy armor
Switched to male Norn at some point when i got bored of chiken tendies and wanted to act like myself around people.


Now you have singleplayer like Skyrim, whats the point of playing male avatar if all that matters is looks, appearance of your avatar?
Someone will pick muscular male cos he feels unconfortable playing as female, other person will pick male cos hes uber gay, some other dude will pick female cos he wants to looks at something sexy while playing and then you have transgeders.....who wants to be 12 tailed anime foxgirl with breasts as big as the moon and 3 SoSuages.
