Play as an orc
I have always wanted to do a orc playthrough in this game, but considered I just feel wrong beeing a orc dragonborn... And I do like some RP, I dont mean like super hardcore RP but some. Then I have never done and normaly just pick a nord. But now I want to try a orc playthrough. And what I thought was: using not dragonborn mod and ignore the entire dragon story, do the war with imperial and do the dawnguard quest line. And most likely use either axe + shield or mace + shield since 2 handed is to slow for me.

But do any one here play as an orc or simply have some ideas how to make a orc playthrough fun? And any mod ideas that can fit orcs? Like is there a mod that make it possible for you to get a house in a orc stronghold?

If you don't want to be "dragonborn", you can install a mod called Alternate Lives on Nexus which delivers you the RP experience that you want. I suggest getting armor mods and weapons mods that would suit your character to enhance gameplay.

Yeah I know, that's what I ment with the not dragonborn mod. I just remember beeing called something like that on skyrim but special edition its in the alternate live mod...

Live another Life or Skyrim Unbound are the two alternate start mods I'd suggest (I prefer the latter, it includes an option for not being Dragonborn). You will need an extra mod for LAL to skip being Dragonborn IIRC, but there is also an Orc Stronghold start in it that isn't in Unbound. It doesn't give you a house but I think it gives you a bed and some safe storage in the longhouse of the Stronghold, but I'm not entirely sure.

Anyways, the classic set up would be 2h for using Volendrung for the RP (and also because it's pretty damn good), but if you don't want to use 2h then just roll with whatever 1h/shield you want; swords are more common but axe or mace may look the part more for you (I'd go axe).

Then again, what kind of Orc do you want to play?

Yeah Skyrim unbound look good. And I will go for heavy armor, but think I will use shield + axe or warhammer or something since not a fan of 2handed since its so slow. But have anyone tried out that Orc hearhfires mod? How is that, I mean the building and all looks fine but how does the stronghold become with NPC and stuff, pretty empty or is there some life to the place?
I have played as an Orc, you just play the downtrodden hero, the one who does the heroics but is still disliked by the racist population, which explains the disparaging comments you get.
