What we need is a mod that lets us remove quests we have no interest in doing, or at least an auto-complete so you can skip to the end of the weak ones. I mean, I usually come out of dungeons with gems worth more in total than the Gold I found in them, and dump them into a crafting supplies chest, even though I never craft any jewelry with them, or do either of the "bring me some gems, bro" quests (Peryite and the Argonian in Riften), and that's without even touching the Unusual Gems when I run across them.
But hey, whaddaya expect when you're still finding Iron and Fur on Bandits at Level 81.5? Forsworn I can understand, but at least in Oblivion, Bandits upgraded their gear to your level. Fur when you exit the sewers, Elven and Glass by the time you're ready to enter Vilverin right across the river from where you came out.
Idea wise I'd probably have the reward be a cool new power/spell that goes along with theivery. Maybe a spell that can be cast on an object to place it into your inventory while creating a replica instantly, making it impossible to get caught stealing objects. Which isn't a big deal at that point, but still more interesting than a random stat boost.
