1.) Check that English is the setting in the .ini file.
- Navigate to C:\Users\<current user>\Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition
- Click on Skyrim.ini
- Find the [General] field. Once there, find the "sLanguage" property and make sure it is set to English. Mine is in all caps (ENGLISH), if that matters
_________
2.) Install the game as English from the start
- Backup your mods
- Uninstall Skyrim Special Edition using this guide for completeness -> https://steamcommunity.com/app/489830/discussions/0/312265589446940121/
- Right-click the uninstalled game in your library
- Click Properties
- In the Language tab, which will probably be blank if the game is uninstalled, select English.
- Install the game.
Also, something to note: the save you have where you've taken mods out is now likely to be unstable from your removing them. I would recommend starting a new game.
Just tried both, didn't fix
I've also found some info that this bug WAS reported to Bethesda, but they discarded this as "an unimportant bug" and don't do ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Can this rly be true? I paid money for the game and can't have their support fix it?
