Having a hard time getting Daedra Hearts

I'm trying to get some daedra hearts for smithing, but I've kind of hit a wall. Enthir doesn't sell any, due to my economy and speecraft overhaul mod. I've reset Babette's shop about 10 times and only ever found one daedra heart super early on. Resetting her shop takes painfully long due to taking a week to reset. I tried completing "Pieces of the Past" quest for Mehrunes shrine, and upon clearing it, none of the four daedra dropped any.

Am I just unlucky or do you guys think there is a mod in my extensive list that is influencing this somehow?

I realise now that despite the way its worded on the wiki, it isnt a 100% drop from the daedra at mehrunes shrine. I reset a couple more times and finally found one.

Daedra hearts are rare, but they shouldn't be THAT rare. Dremora have a 100% chance of dropping a daedra heart. Merchants rarely carry them, but I don't think they should be rare enough to have to reset a merchant 10 times to get just one. And merchants normally reset every 2 days.

A mod of yours must be doing this.

The economy and speecraft overhaul mod sets reset time to a week. Idk about regards to luck, but I finally got one at mehrunes after a couple resets. Thanks though!

The Dremora in Azura's Star have them (IIRC) as well as the one at Shalidor's Maze when you complete it. That's 5.

But they're supposed to be rare, because there's only one way to get them - from Daedra/Dremora - and really, who in Skyrim goes out looking for them. Aside from the Vigilants of Stendarr. Not that they ever have any, because all they fight are Flame Atronachs, Frost Atronachs, Skeletons, and Vampires.

There's also a way to make them... at level 90 conjuration, with ingredients that are themselves rare.

Enthir at the College of Winterhold usually stocks 1-2 Daedra Hearts and restocks every 2-3 days.

You obviously have a mod that's affecting the drop chance on dremora. Its be hard to determine what mod is doing it, but if I were you, I would look at mods that affect monsters and/or dremora first. Maybe alchemy mods. Or perhaps that 'economy and speechcraft overhaul' you keep mentioning. I believe mods like that make enchanted items rarer. Its possible that it may also be making your dremora not drop daedra hearts.

I don't really see the point in making them rarer than they already are. I rarely acquire daedra hearts when I play the game. I normally don't even bother to craft daedric armor, I just go straight to dragonplate.

The easiest:
- Join Colleg of Winterhold
- Talk to Enthir in his room

Otherwise you have to carve up Dremora, which means summoning them at the Atronach Forge or during Daedric quests(the ones at the Shrine of Mehrunes Dagon respawn, and there's nice loot inside the Shrine).
