edit from the modpage:
Immersive Weapons is more than just a mod that adds weapons. Here is a list of the features of this mod:
Adds 230 new weapons, and distributes them around the world in a variety of ways
Adds duel wielding opponents to give variety to combat and better utilize the new weapons
Allows for breaking down weapons at smelters for base components
Adds 21 new weapon archetypes to Skyrim (the vanilla game has 8) to increase combat variety and promote more choice in play-style
Adds custom crafting requirements (such as quest completion or specific item acquisition) to promote immersion and protect the game's lore

Using a mod manager like Nexus Mod Manager or Mod Organizer 2 is the best way to install mods. MO2 is better in the long run but can be hard if you're new to modding. NMM is easy to set up but if you mod a lot, you'll break your game easily.
If mod managers feel uncomfortable, you can always download the mod manually and extract the stuff to your Skyrim Special Edition/Data folder. Not recommended really, but that's what NMM essentially does too - just with a pretty interface on top.
Long story short, get a mod manager. Install it. Get the mod. Install the mod with the manager. Play.
