Married in Skyrim
So like... you can get married in skyrim, but that doesn't mean I've found that special someone.

Who wants to get married in skyrim?:tdthunder:

Vanilla marriage in Skyrim is pointless. Yeah you get a handful of gold and a meal once a day. Big whoop. Eating is not mandatory, and I can find a ton of food everywhere for free that does just as well, not to mention Gold is plentiful. Go through Meridia's Temple - the desecrated corpses can have as much as 150 gold each.
And without sex, marriage is not immersive. "Oooh, you slept in an owned bed while your spouse was in the house, you get a Well Rested bonus!"
Where's my "Reason for waking up in the morning" bonus?
Where's my "Did it doggie-style" bonus?
Where's my "Went to sleep from and woke up with an orgasm" bonus?

With mods, you can have sex with anyone, including your housecarls, so there's your "warm bed to come home to". Other mods make them actually generate a product when they use cooking idle markers, and gift you the food, so there's your food bonus. Other mods let housecarls and other hirelings run a business for you, or you can marry a merchant, so there's your pocket full of gold.
I'm not sure if there's a mod where your wife gets pregnant, gives birth, and your child grows up, but maybe one day there will be.

The well rested bonus is the last type of bonus I would expect after spending the night in bed with my spouse - or anyone else for that matter..

well if i were you i'd get some mods that inhance relationships with followers and marraige spouses :] i have a whole bunch of mods compiled together that make an overall great experience... my spouces arent emty vessils used for sex and money giving from their store... my spouce actually opens up a store and takes my kids to the market and i can give my spouse armor and they put it on when they take my kids out adventuring they all have dragon bone weapons enchanted with paralyse and fire... xD even their normal clothes is enchanted with health and stamina buffs.... dialogue overhaul too so it feels more real.... theres quite a few mods to fix this but meh i'm just that kind of skyrim player to have no life and install them all.

"Well-Ridden bonus" would be more logical.

I would point out that the bonus you get is called "Lover's Comfort."[en.uesp.net]

I would also point out that not all marriages involve regular... copulation.

In Skyrim I normally don't marry because I never get far enough in my character's story to do so. I normally end up getting bored or breaking my save by then.

Well, one skill at least should level up! Or, at least, benefit.
