Skyrim missing .esp files?
When i launch SKSE from Mod Organizer, and click start, the game tell me that i am missing all the .esp files. They even tell me that my hearthfire.esp etc. are missing but all of them are enabled in the MO.

This started happening after i updated Windows just last night before i went to bed. And when i came home from school the game just kept crashing on me. Nobody seems to have the same problem as me, seeing that the windows update just came out.

If anyone knows a fix, please tell me! :)

Are any of your files in protected locations? (ie, under one of the program files) Have you tried running as admin?

As a guess, the windows update reset some security setting that is blocking MO2 from working.

should i run MO as admin or SKSE? and my MO is in driver D: which doesn't have the program files but my Skyrim is in the program files.

Run mo2 as admin. Set skse64 to have admin privileges as well just in case.

I tried to run MO as admin and that didn't work, neither did skse. But when I run skse from MO it starts a different version because the mods didn't sync up when i did it manually. So i have different mods on the skse i run manually but not the one i run with MO

You need to set skse64 to run as admin from the properties menu, then run mo2 as admin. Both should be running as admin, that way they both have file access permission.

Are you using an instance install of mo2? Sounds like something broke your mod installs. If mods are showing up when running skse64 outside of mo2, then that means mo2 isn't handling those mods properly.

Mo2 has 2 different install types. "instances" and "portable". If you don't know which one you are using, that's gonna be a source of the problem. :p

If you aren't sure which one you are using, I'd suggest backing up all your compressed mod files, deleting mo2 and all of the installed mods, then reading up on how to do a portable install.

Also, did you install any mods from another source besides mo2?

Well, there's your problem. It's expecting hearthfires.esp, when it's hearthfires.esm. No idea why it'd think that.

Ya, you'll need to fix that. Either by finding the compressed folders for those mods or re-downloading them. Just make sure to delete the old ones. It may be better to do a clean install of sse just to make sure everything is reset to base.
