You are using mod organizer 2 correct? Which type of installation are you using for mo2?

Not to ruffle your feathers, but you followed all the manual install instructions and have the runtime libraries correct?

Is mo2 setup to work with the skse launcher?

Yeah everything should be setup correctly

So just to make sure, you checked for an 'unblock' option when unzipping and made sure to exclude mo2 in any av (including windows defender) you might have?

Not saying this is a necassary step yet, but did you do a clean install (not just un/reinstall from steam) of SSE when removing NMM and it's mods?

Yeah just reinstalled windows and everything else

-you are working from a clean install

-mo2 is properly unpacked and has permissions in all known av/malware protection

-mo2 is set to launch skse64

-skse64 and SSE are both set up to the correct directory through mo2

-mods are installed and active

Sadly I don't have personal experience with mo2 yet. You may need to wait for one of the more experienced members to show up.

What folder do you have MO2 installed in? For some reason there have been many reports of things not working properly when installed in the game directory. The Dev's for MO2 recommend putting it in a short dir tree [ C:\MO2 ] for example. I have mine on the same drive as my game although that is not required.

I believe op is using the manual (portable) method that is suppose to go directly into the game's directory.

That was the case for MO1. Any install of MO2 should be outside the game directory and in the shortest path possible (I have seen them say exactly this regarding MO2 on their discord). I personally am using the portable and my path is D:\MO2\SSE.

Edit: I just double checked with them and the above is correct.
