NMM SevenZipSharp bug solution?

I'm trying to mod Skyrim SE for the first time and i can't seem to get the NMM to activate ANY mods that are even slightly large because it gives me that damn "There's a bug in the SevenZipSharp." message. And i can't find anything online at all that points toward a solution.
Am i to believe that after ALL THESE YEARS, not a single person has come up with a solution to this problem!? ._. I don't have any kind of anti-virus software on my pc, so that's not the issue.
Can anyone at all help me with this? I'm so desperate to play this game...

You haven't accidentially insatlled Bytefence in to your computer? It may have appeared among some other program you installed. It is known to interfere with SeveZipSharp.

Nope it's not on my pc.

I didn't even know there was a problem... sadly, because I've never seen this, I have no idea what to do.

Do you have an update to date 7zip or other dedicated decompression software?

When was your last clean install of NMM?

Also, do you have more than one full decompression software? (WinZip, extract frog, any others you can think of)

One last little tidbit I can think of, is 7zip or whatever you use for decompression located in a directory that requires admin privileges to access?

You mean an update for 7zip? I didn't know there was a way to do that. And i have Winrar and that's about it. I've completely re-installed NMM three times in the past two days. And Re-installed Skyrim SE twice. Re-downloading it and NMM as we speak.
I've had this issue for years, from the first time i ever modded base Skyrim, all the way up to now.

I doubt there would be an update to the decompressor, just food for thought.

I'm so stressed right now. i didnt realize you said 7zip, i thought you said 7zipsharp.

Just to confirm, is it having trouble with one specific mod or all mods?

Yes, they are different. I use 7zip. Sevenzipsharp appears to be an old decompressor from 2012. Perhaps the decompressor is the problem?

It seems to be an issue with mods that are relatively large, lets just say for instance anything above 200MB gets the error, and anything under that installs just fine through the manager. And ya i defintely agree that the decompressor is the issue. But unfortunately it's just the one that NMM uses, it installs with NMM and i don't think there's any way to change what decompression software NMM uses.

NMM, MO and MO2 area all using SevenZipSharp. It is inbuilt in to them. It sounds to me that some other application is interfering with the process.

Could you run it one more time and then check from Windows Event Viewer for what is going on?

Ah. In that case it is unlikey to be another application. Weird.

I install files above 200mb just fine. Are you positive this isn't due to your chosen decompressor application?

You have a point, i think i've using the same version of Winrar for years now... Lemme go update that and we'll go from there! If it's still not working them imma go download 7zip and set it as my default program and see if that works.
