Skyrim SE not updating from 1.0.0
Things I have done, Followed the guide at http://store.steampowered.com With no luck at all. My game version is still sitting at 1.0.0.

My first idea was to look online at Bethesda's main site with no luck:steamfacepalm:. just the simple We updated Skyrim SE to 1.5.16... But for some reason steam won't update the game from 1.0.0 to the current 1.5.16.

I cleared my cache in steamapps, deleted my skyrimprefs and ini files, turned off computer fully, re-ran the game, closed the game and came back to steam to see if it went from 1.0.0 to 1.5.16 with zero luck.

Did steam discontinue updating skyrim? Or is there something I need to do within the steam launcher to allow for skyrim SE to be update to it's newest version?

My reason for updating is mod related.

Thanks in advanced for reading this:steamhappy:.

My mods stoped working after the last few updates and even if I got the updated version of the mod, it still would not allow certain mods to do what they are suppose to, I long since gave up on Skyrim sadly since I have trouble enjoying it without certain mods I use. Good luck though.

what exactly are you looking at? on my machine:
skyrimse.exe file version = 1.0.0.0 product version = 1.5.23.0
skyrimselauncher.exe file version = 1.0.0.0 product version = 1.0.0.0

think you mean product version. delete skyrimse.exe and skyrimselauncher.exe. verify game files should download whatever is the latest. think 1.5.23 is the latest.

Thanks and I agree. Some mods are becoming harder to install and to even get working especially with all the mod creators disappearing into the abyss. Such a shame, some of the mods out there were really sweet.

I am having a scatterbrained moment. I am sorry to waste your time on this post everyone. Just realized it is the correct version of 1.5.23 and didn't see the fine print of Product version after clicking Properties:steamfacepalm::steamsalty:.... Now, the reason I wanted to know all of this is for the main cause of my frustrations with a game I loved once a great many moons ago, SKSE64.

But thats for another topic.

Thanks again all!
